I am driven in my work by the way people deal with their appearance. Not much aware of it we follow unspoken rules that determine when and what we may or may not wear. Following these rules guarantees us being accepted by others and leads to the binding of whole societies. But as long as we are not aware that conventions are not an absolute truth we are also limited by them. My jewelry is strongly inspired by garments. I want to break free from conventions by blurring the differences between clothes and jewelry and by suggesting other ways to perceive a jewellery piece.
