It was almost Six Decades ago when Mr. R.K. Gupta, joined his father to assist him in his business, a retail outlet called Capital Optical Company at Chandni Chowk, New Delhi. This small outlet soon paved way for a leading name in Optical Trade with the distinction of being the First Indian Company to introduce International Brands from the world leaders. In 1967, Capital Optical Company floated the INDIAN OPTICAL COMPANY, with its own Lens Brand SUPROL ® (Acronym for Super Opthalmic Lenses), which soon broke all records. Years later, all business was consolidated into a new company, Indian Optics (P) Ltd, that has a nationwide presence today.
