Indigenous Heritage Circle

The Indigenous Heritage Circle (IHC) is an Indigenous-led and designed organization that was incorporated in 2016. We are dedicated to the advancement of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis cultural heritage priorities. Our goals include- Celebrate and promote Indigenous heritage and the role of Indigenous Peoples in its identification, preservation, and stewardship - Advocate for cultural heritage programs, policies, and funding opportunities that recognize Indigenous Peoples as the rightful caretakers and stewards of their cultural heritage - Support Indigenous communities in stewarding and safeguarding their cultural heritage - Further the understanding of, and respect for, Indigenous heritage frameworks, laws, values, and protocols through the facilitation of dialogue and learning opportunities
