Indireads is a digital-only publisher of original popular fiction, serving the South Asian market. The venture launches Jun 2013 with 30 original novellas written by 25 fresh voices from the region; these are short, engaging stories, bought and read on a multitude of digital devices, including personal computers, smartphones and tablet devices. This means readers of South Asian fiction all across the world now have access to original fiction from their culture. Mission: Indireads aims revolutionize the popular fiction genre for South Asian readers by capturing fresh stories written by new local writers. At Indireads, we are committed to revolutionizing both the popular fiction genre in South Asia, and the way it is curated and presented. We are interested in showcasing captivating stories from around South Asia, written by South Asians for a target audience comprising of South Asian readers at home and abroad as well as a global audience. We believe in the potential for technology and the use of digital platforms to transcend boundaries to exponentially impact access and expand readership and outreach.
