Informs Georgia Southern Student Chapter

The INFORMS Georgia Southern University Student Chapter is affiliated with INFORMS (IOL Home - INFORMS), the world’s largest professional society for professionals in operations research, management science, and business analytics. The chapter was founded in 2020 by Professors Janet Moss and Steven Moss. Our theme, “Connect, Grow, and Give Back,” emphasizes the importance of building professional connections, fostering professional growth, and contributing to the profession and community. To support these values, we organize a series of monthly events designed to align with our chapter’s goals Our chapter has been recognized for its excellence, winning a 2024 Student Chapter Annual Award (Magna Cum Laude) and a 2023 Student Chapter Annual Award (Cum Laude). The current faculty advisors for the chapter are Dr. Kwabena Boakye and Dr. Xinfang Wang. The student officers are Grant Pysczynski (President), Cassie Ratner (VP), Xander Millstone (Secretary), and Emmanuella Ofuani (Treasurer).
