ING France is a branch of the Dutch banking group ING Bank N.V. We are therefore part of an international bank, present in over 40 countries, serving nearly 37 million customers, businesses and financial institutions! Our teams, based in Paris and present in France since 1982, support 250 customers, large companies and financial institutions, representing 75% of the companies in the CAC 40 and SBF 120 indexes. Through our sector-based approach, we offer a comprehensive range of solutions and services in France and internationally: sustainable finance, loans and acquisition finance, real estate finance and leasing, cash management solutions, commercial working capital management, capital markets finance, market risk management (interest rates, foreign exchange, commodities, equities). As a global bank, we have a responsibility to have a positive impact on the economy, society and the planet. 🤝 We therefore want to play an important role in the sustainable transformation of the economy and society, in particular by gearing the most carbon-intensive elements of our portfolio towards the goal of net-zero by 2050. Although we finance a large number of sustainable activities, we still finance activities that are not sustainable because around 80% of the energy used in the world today is still based on fossil fuels. Our approach is based on science, and we adapt it as scientific knowledge evolves. For example, we announced in December 2023 that we would phase out funding for upstream oil and gas activities by 2040, and that we would triple funding for renewable energy production to €7.5 billion a year by 2025 from €2.5 billion in 2022.
