Inkandescent Publishing

Inkandescent are committed to voices underrepresented in mainstream publishing, with a particular focus on queer and working-class writers. We were founded in 2016 by Nathan Evans & Justin David. Our first book,'Threads'—fusing Evans' poetry & David's photography—was supported by Arts Council England and long-listed for the Polari First Book Prize. Subsequent publications have included James Makers' Polari prize-winning 'AutoFellatio' and 'The Pale Ones', described by The Guardian as 'am impressive debut' by The Guardian. Our forthcoming anthology 'Mainstream' will bring thirty authors in from the margins to occupy centre-page. Emerging writers will have their work published alongside established authors including Kit de Waal, Neil Bartlett, Kerry Hudson, Juliet Jacques, Neil Bartlett, Philip Ridley, Keith Jarrett & Paul McVeigh.
