Innovation Immersion Program

The Innovation Immersion Program at the University of Illinois is a student-run technology consulting program that brings students together from multiple disciplines and cultural backgrounds to form cross-functional consulting teams. Consultants from the University of Illinois collaborate with students from top international institutions such as KTH in Sweden, NTU in Singapore, and Technion in Israel to complete semester-long projects for clients in global technology clusters. The IIP experience is both challenging and rewarding. Ideal student consultants are those with an entrepreneurial vision, who operate well in ambiguity, and who thrive in collaborative team environments. IIP prepares students for real-world assignments and delivers diverse perspectives and tremendous value to international clients. Projects take place over the course of one semester and comprise two main deliverables: one midpoint and one final presentation. Consultants travel in an immersion trip to meet with their clients for either the midpoint or final presentation.
