Inrae Bia
BIA (Biopolymers Interactions Assemblies) is a research unit of INRAE, part of the Transform division. It employs around 200 people, half of whom are permanent INRAE staff and the other half short-term contract staff (including PhD students and post-docs). BIA's research aims to reinvent the use of bioresources to design foods and materials that meet environmental, climate and global health challenges. To achieve this goal, the BIA's scientific priorities are as follows: 1- Describe and control the quality of plant production to meet different uses, in a context of increasing variability and agro-ecological change. 2- Develop the foods of tomorrow: healthy, sustainable foods. 3- Design bio-based composite materials with innovative functionalities
