IC specializes in providing qualified and experienced professionals, known as “Academic Coaches,” who are embedded within online courses to support university faculty. This scalable solution not only reduces instructional delivery costs but also enhances the student experience and provides faculty with a workload management solution. Instructional Connections, with 15 years of experience, has provided instructional support across various high-demand online programs and individual courses in Business, Nursing, Criminal Justice, Public Health, Education, and more. Our Academic Coaches, all with a minimum Master’s Degree or higher in their respective disciplines, help alleviate university faculty concerns about increased workloads due to growing enrollment in online courses. Moreover, our Academic Coach Model offers a cost-effective and sustainable solution for scaling online courses. Our Academic Coach Model empowers institutions to expand online course enrollments and/or course caps by offering instructional support to the faculty of record. This support may include assistance with grading assignments and monitoring communications, at the faculty’s discretion. This enables faculty to focus and fully engage within the curriculum, outcomes and potential interventions without being burdened by tasks that can typically occupy the majority of their time when teaching online courses. We provide our Academic Coaches as a third-party provider, thereby eliminating the institution’s direct hiring or compensation obligations.
