Our mission is to support the professional and artistic growth of San Francisco Bay Area musicians whose focus is the small ensemble. Through programs that include fiscal sponsorship, grant-making, career development, and curated performance partnerships, we strengthen the careers of local artists who contribute to a vibrant and diverse music community. We envision a thriving musical climate for San Francisco Bay Area musicians with sustainable careers who are celebrated by engaged and dedicated audiences. We value small ensemble music-making for its intimacy and immediacy, and champion its many genres by serving those who create and share it. Formerly known as San Francisco Friends of Chamber music, InterMusic SF continues to support small ensemble music in the San Francisco Bay Area through our Fiscal Sponsorship Program, professional development workshop series, Musical Grant Program, SF Music Day, and curated performance collaborations like Presidio Live.
