International Study Association Umami

ISA Umami is the study association for students of the master Health Food Innovation Management (MSc HFIM) of Maastricht University. Umami provides support for members where it’s necessary and organizes educational activities. It will also organize regularly events where members can meet and interact with each other in an informal way. Umami works in close cooperation with the staff of the MSc HFIM programme on the evaluation and further development of the study programme. Furthermore ISA Umami's goal is to offer the students insights into real world applications outside the university. The most important way to achieve our goal is to establish a direct link between companies and the students. The programme HFIM focusses on the process of innovation in the food and beverage industry by integrating four key disciplines; in depth understanding of Nutrition and Health, Consumer Sciences, Business and Entrepeneurship and Food Law in the perspective of health food innovation will be taught.
