Internet For Humanity

Internet for Humanity Goal: To increase quality of life and educational opportunities for families and youth through affordable internet access to medical, educational and agricultural productivity resources,by applying Information Communications Technology (ICT) tools and expertise. Internet for Humanity (formerly REMCU) is a Registered Canadian Charity, located in Victoria, BC. We have 11 years experience establishing and supporting reliable low-cost internet browsing and email systems in isolated and impoverished regions of the world; first with HF-Radios, then with cell-phone internet data since 2010. For example, in Uganda, we have installed 17 systems since 2011; 13 are active, impacting over farmers and students. Each system consists of 5 computers, connected to the Internet via cell-modem, proprietary router, and a compression/optimization program. We install, support, and train local administrators to effectively utilize this tool.
