Interocean Brokerage LLC is a direct importer of frozen seafood for the U.S. market, with extensive experience in supplying both institutional and retail markets with a wide line of seafood from Asia, Europe and South America providing consumer ready products under our own brands or private label. We source product upon customer demand and specialize in customize specifications and packaging. Interocean’s procurement philosophy is based on building and maintaining long-term relationships with our suppliers and customers world-wide. Our procurement process begins with assessment of our markets and the future demand trends of our customers, coupled with world supply opportunities. Our personnel and our network of buying agents, regularly schedule research and exploratory trips to production areas. Visits to processing plants and sample shipments are arranged before a new supply relationship is created. Interocean’s sales and procurement staff also attend annual international and domestic seafood industry shows, enabling us to keep abreast of supply developments and opportunities. Once a supplier relationship is created, we and our agents share market information, and give support and training to our new supply partners through regular visits and constant communication. Passing on current market information to our customers is a key element of our service. We have a strong commitment that all our suppliers operate under the HACCP quality assurance program, and we verify this by regular visits to the plants, as well as frequent independent laboratory testing. We believe that our success can only occur when both our customers and suppliers are satisfied with the quality and profitability of the products provided.
