Interprogetti Engineering Consulting was established in 1987 in Naples, Italy. With more than 30 years of experience, the company offers national and international professional services that include structural design, seismic assessment and retrofit solutions, site supervision and commissioning of civil engineering works. The company manifold services, that span from civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering to earthquake engineering meet each other answering the question: “What happens afterward?”. Interprogetti core mission is to provide design and structural retrofit solutions that are not only cost-effective but that also ensure damage prevention in the event of a natural disaster, aiming at society resilience. A specific research team is dedicated to studying and investigating key subjects in structural and earthquake engineering, such as high-strength materials, super-elastic materials and seismic isolation. Structural resilience is the main company research interest. It entails the ability of buildings, intended as structural, non-structural and systems components, to quickly “bounce back” to their initial conditions in the aftermath of a natural disaster, with the intent of minimizing the repair cost and time required to restore the structures to full operationality, ultimately reducing financial losses.
