Intrinsic Motion Inc was founded on the principals of Intelligent Training Systems™ in the UK. The foundations, however, were established over a twenty-year timespan in which testing using isokinetic machines, lumbar motion monitors and video analysis was conducted. The findings were conclusive: Understanding an individual’s intrinsic biomechanical profile is essential in order to identify areas of the musculo-skeletal structure which have an increased susceptibility to injury and where dysfunction can compromise performance. Since the emergence of this new paradigm, millions of people – from Olympic athletes to the sedentary – have been screened and prescribed corrective exercises to assist with their injury prevention, and pain management. Intrinsic Motion Inc. was launched in October 2011 and is headquartered in Raleigh, NC.
