After acquiring his MCSE certification, Joe Cormier founded the company Computer Geeks in 2002 to establish an outsourced IT service offering for small to medium-sized businesses with a commitment to personal attention and expert technical knowledge. As the company continued to grow by adding hundreds of clients and through the acquisition of smaller IT firms, it transitioned itself into a full-service business technology provider specializing in Managed IT, Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, and other networking solutions thus inspiring the name change to Ion Networking in 2008.
