Bridging the Gap to Technological enhancements, reducing poverty and unemployment and creating empowerment to the youths. Nigeria, the most populous black nation, is home to around 200 million people with an annual population growth of 2.61 percent. Currently, over 33.6 million (16.8 percent) Nigerians are regarded as youths (aged between 15 and 35). However, according to statistics, about 43.69 percent of Nigeria’s total population were aged 0 to 14 in 2019. This means that in the near future, the youth will increasingly form the bulk of the country’s population as children grow older into young adults. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, and taking advantage of the large pool of young and unemployed youths in Nigeria, we would like to set up internet libraries / software development academies that would train teenagers and youth in the art of software engineering, machine learning, Blockchain technology and Artificial Intelligence. We believe these technologies will be goal drivers for change bringing in lasting development to our local economy, country, world and most importantly to the participant. This will also largely be possible because of the low barrier to entry in the tech ecosystem. Currently, we train young teenagers the art of software development with emphasis on Web development, this most times serves as a launching pad for easy entry for participants. Expansion to further technologies like Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, Mobile App development and Blockchain will follow. We would start at our locality and reach out to a minimum set of 50 teenagers and youth per enrollment cycle. From the enrollment cycle to training completion will last 3 months. This number of enrollees will increase as we have capacity. We would orientate and sensitive them regarding these (Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Mobile App development, Machine Learning, Web development) and the major roles they play in crafting our collective future.
