The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia NSW & ACT (IPWEA NSW & ACT) is the peak professional association representing individuals involved in delivering public works and local government engineering across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in local communities through excellence in public works and services. As a registered charity, IPWEA NSW & ACT advances public works excellence by promoting best practice, advocating with governments, delivering industry-relevant professional development training, and providing a platform for knowledge sharing among likeminded professionals. We work closely with all levels of government to ensure the voices of public works professionals are heard in decisions that shape our built environment. From roads and water infrastructure to parks, libraries, and disaster resilience, we champion the vital work that keeps our communities connected, sustainable and safe. Through professional development, technical resources, events and advocacy, we support our members in shaping a stronger, smarter future for local government and the communities they serve.
