Trauma-Informed Specialist Founder & CEO of Alumah UKCP Accredited Psycotherpeutic Counsellor & Supervisor (BPS CSAccred AAC) For more than a decade, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse, sexual assault, substance misuse, and complex trauma. My work spans male and female survivors, young people, adults, and those navigating the long-term impact of PTSD and CPTSD. Alongside my wider trauma practice, I have extensive experience working with veterans and blue light professionals, supporting those exposed to repeated traumatic events and occupational stress. This includes frontline responders, police, fire and rescue, paramedics, and others whose roles place them at heightened risk of psychological injury. I understand deeply how mental health, sexual violence, substance misuse, and relationship abuse intersect. Early trauma, including child sexual abuse, can shape coping strategies, self-worth, and emotional wellbeing. My therapeutic approach focuses on repairing unhelpful thought patterns, rebuilding self-esteem, and nurturing confidence and resilience. My background in substance misuse includes work with organisations such as The Matthew Project, the NHS, and other specialist services. I am also trained in Critical Incident (Psychological) Debriefing and Sand Tray Therapy.
