Emily Riggs' label is founded on her love of the enduring quality of Australian Merino wool & her interest in timeless designer clothing. After marrying a merino sheep producer in Burra, South Australia, it felt like a natural fit to combine their livelihood in sheep farming with the beautiful things it can create – that being knitwear. Iris & Wool is now proudly stocked in store at David Jones. Emily Riggs' brand iris & wool is a tribute to her mother who passed away when Emily was quite young. Emily Riggs does recall she adored Irises. It was only natural for Emily to combine the two loves in her life, ‘iris’ for her mother Jane McLeod and ‘wool’ as an identity for the beautiful fibre. With every iris & wool purchase made, you will be making a difference to many farmers who produce Merino wool and also supporting the Childhood Cancer Association. For every purchase $1 is donated to the CCA. We also donate beanies to newly cancer diagnosed kiddies via the same charity.
