The Macken family have very strong roots in the construction and hardware industry in Ireland. Having established as T&J Macken Building Contractors in Dublin in 1937, the company built many churches, schools and convents in the greater Dublin area. Part of the business then developed into a timber yard and timber sales in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin before establishing as Irish Building Supply in 1970 and becoming a trusted name in quality building materials with excellent customer service. Our full trade counters and retail stores are stocked with a vast range of quality products to satisfy the needs of construction companies, builders, trades people, self-builders, D.I.Y and householders. Wicklow is an impressive sq ft and serves as the company’s logistics hub, with an excellent and very quick delivery service to the greater Dublin and Wicklow areas. The company operates its own fleet of vehicles and its delivery service runs from 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
