Irish Museums Association

The representative organisation for the museum community across Ireland, the IMA exists to support and promote the development of museums and advocate their value to society. We provide crucial connectivity across the sector through our membership, which ranges from larger national cultural institutions to small, local or community-led museum organisations, working across a wide variety of disciplines. We support the sector by sharing information and knowledge, extending professional development opportunities, provide leadership, and aim to inspire. To do this, we work closely with those within our sector and beyond. The IMA is partly funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and the Heritage Council of Ireland.
