Welcome to Ishiq (Aze."light"), a Non-profit Organization dedicated to building a bridge between high-school students and children without parental care. At Ishiq, high-achieving school students, demonstrating proven academic excellence and deep knowledge in a selected subject, volunteer as Ishiq's ‘i-Teachers’ for disadvantaged children lacking parental care and proper educational guidance. Hence, the program enables tutoring students to leverage their expertise, actively contributing to the betterment of society, while cultivating social responsibility and empathy, gaining valuable experience in effective leadership, communication, and teamwork. Simultaneously, ‘i-Students,’ children from shelters and without parental care benefit by acquiring essential knowledge and skills, setting the foundation for pursuing further education and building successful careers. Uncover our unique vocabulary: • i-student: Kids from shelters participating in classes led by i-teachers. • i-teacher: High school students stepping into the role of teachers (tutors) for i-students. • i-class: Online classes conducted by i-teachers for i-students. • i-supervisors: Ishiq's professors guiding and providing syllabus support to our dedicated i-teachers.
