Island Defense

Island Defense was formed in response to the call for increased domestic Heavy Metal Fabrication & Restoration support within the Defense industry, to provide metal design, engineering, production, and finishing capabilities to the U.S. Department of Defense (and their prime contractors). We seek to contribute to the U.S. Defense Industrial Base by making dual-use of an established, reputable, and highly-skilled metal fabrication facility in New York. Our offices and machine shops are located within the former Grumman naval facility in Calverton (Long Island), with teams of engineers, program managers, and technicians who are motivated by a sense of patriotism and desire to contribute directly to our nation’s defense. We work collaboratively with our clients to understand and identify areas where our metal fabrication and refurbishment capabilities can best support a program. Our team can either accept a Technical Data Package (TDP) or perform Build to Print (BTP) production. Additionally, we can participate directly in the engineering efforts to provide an optimal production solution.
