Island Resources Foundation is an environmental NGO, founded in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands in 1972, which provides consulting services to solve the sustainable development problems of small islands. Activities have concentrated on small islands in the Caribbean but the Foundation has also worked with several bi-lateral and international organizations. Core competencies include biodiversity conservation planning and management, environmental information management, policy and legislation, organizational development, and erosion and sediment control.
