Island View Design

I specialize in custom residential design, working closely with clients, to create heirloom quality pieces of funiture. Not limited by tradition, I happily work with both traditional joinery and will also utilize modern technology and techniques. I respect our natural resources and the limits of certain species, where ever possible I choose to use sustainably harvested materials and make choices in a manner that respects our environment. After a fascinating array of careers, I finally chose to take the Cabinet Making certificate program at Humber College, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This one year program offered me a formal introduction to building furniture and put me on the path that I still follow today. I am constantly inspired by the natural world around me. My extensive travels have exposed me to a huge range of furniture and design both contemporary and from makers past.
