Our mission in ISTDPCPH/Business is to enhance leaders’ performance and wellbeing by applying the psychotherapeutic method of ISTDP (Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy) on the development of leaders. ISTDP carries a thorough documentation as a very nuanced and effective method for understanding the conscious and unconscious dynamics of our personality and for creating lasting change in the way a person understands themselves and the relationship with others. Our clients typically fall into 3 groups: High performing leaders who in certain situations – again and again – experiences that they handle personal and relationship issues and situations in a less effective way and thereby derailing their intention and reducing impact. They want to get to the bottom of the problem and get it solved rather than managing around it. Leadership potentials and younger leaders early in their career who are curious about gaining knowledge and insight about the foundation for leadership; the conscious and unconscious dynamics of their personality. They want to focus their development activities where it is most effective, rather than engaging in standard options offered to them. Leaders well into a fine career progression but with a work-life balance off track that may be counterproductive for their aspirations. They want more than a job; they want a life as well. They want to find out which inner dynamics it is that sidetracks them. We are careful to separate professional issues (competence, experience) from internal psychological issues and then focus on the latter.
