It From Bit

It From Bit is a decision-intelligence consultancy. We help leaders and institutions act decisively in high-stakes environments where the data is incomplete, the stakes are asymmetric, and intuition alone is not enough. We operate on a simple principle: intelligence as infrastructure. We do not just build models, we design durable decision systems that hold under constraints, scrutiny, and time pressure. Methodology is anchored to peer-reviewed research; deliverables are model-backed and documented. Core practices: • Strategic Wargaming & Decision Optimization — scenario simulation and adversarial testing that reveals risks, second-order effects, and paths to defensible advantage. • Operations & Resilience Systems — stress-testing supply chains and operations; integrating simulation, optimization, and forecasting to anticipate disruption and recover faster. • AI Policy & Governance Strategy — governance architectures that align AI use with institutional mandates, compliance, and long-term human intent. The practice is led by Mario Brcic, Associate Professor at FER (University of Zagreb) and Managing Partner at It From Bit. Personal research record and publications: mariobrcic.com. In 2025, our team contributed strategic analysis to the Croatia AI Ecosystem Brief — a private-sector-led report on compute infrastructure and AI governance. itfrombit.biz
