Itdp China
Founded in 1985, the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) is committed to providing technical support for sustainable urban transportation development. ITDP has worked in more than 100 cities in 40 countries, and maintains close ties with global partners such as the United Nations Development Programme, UN-Habitat, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank. ITDP has been working in China since 2004. We take pride in spearheading the development of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems in Guangzhou, Yichang, and Lanzhou, demonstrating our profound expertise in areas such as non-motorized transport, sustainable mobility, Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), and Transport Demand Management (TDM). Our comprehensive services encompass policy research and advocacy, capacity building initiatives, and the amplification of regional best practices. Our collaborative network encompasses think tanks, private sector entities, and policymakers at both the city and state level. ITDP is headquartered in the U.S, and has offices in New York, Beijing, Guangzhou, Mexico City, São Paulo, Chennai, Jakarta, and Nairobi.
