Iwamoto Engineering Consultants, Inc. is a professional consulting structural engineering firm founded in 2002, formerly called Iwamoto & Associates, LLC. We specialize in and are committed to the design of structures through the use of innovative solutions to achieve practical, economical, and functional designs. We understand that each project is unique and we work closely with our clients to meet their specific needs and requirements for a particular project. Iwamoto Engineering Consultants, Inc. combines professional expertise, diverse project experience, excellent communication skills, a variety of problem-solving techniques, and the use of current computer technology to produce structural designs that consistently meet project deadlines and budgets. Together, Iwamoto Engineering Consultants, Inc.'s owners and employees brings over fifty years of combined structural engineering experience to our projects. We provide Structural Design services for a wide variety of projects in accordance with current local building codes, and in accordance with Federal, State and City and County requirements. Design services for projects include: new structures, renovations, additions and retrofits. Past design experience includes projects which incorporate most of the major types of construction materials. These include: cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete, post-tensioned and pre-stressed concrete, structural steel, light gage steel, masonry, wood, fiberglass, and aluminum. We provide Forensic engineering services which include: assessments, evaluations, failure and damage investigations, and due diligence studies. Past forensic experience includes studies of wood rot and termite damage, structural steel corrosion, reinforcing steel corrosion, concrete and masonry spalling, cracking, settlement, and deflection.
