IYA is a Toronto acting school that provides media coaching, business improv workshops, school improv workshops, improv & acting classes, and audition coaching! Improv Your Acting: Studio for the Performing Arts began as a pipe dream 6 years ago in the mind of founder Tony Babcock. What started as a single class of 8 students has grown into a multi-faceted, community-based performing arts and outreach company dedicated to helping actors and artists succeed by providing them with top quality In-The-Moment training with the strongest coaches possible. IYA is built on its In-The-Moment training philosophy. Quite simply, utilizing improvisation as the core to learning, actors find the spontaneity necessary to keep fresh in performances and appreciate each moment to the fullest. Positive affirmations and teachings help to break down self-sabotage mechanisms and stressful ideologies, ensuring actors have the tools to lead a healthy life.
