iZ Renewable Luxury is a benefit organization aiming to transform disused and unwanted products into new materials and products with added value. Our starting point is iZ Precious®, a digital platform built around an international and voluntary based standard that through a certified supply chain provides jewellery, watches, and fashion accessories brands with metals (gold, silver, palladium) recovered from e-waste in an ethical and sustainable manner. iZ Precious® core values are: Certified and Traceable Precious Metals, CO2 Reduction and Social Responsibility. We create reliable macro-regional supply chains which operate transparently and responsibly to guarantee the distribution of precious metals that have a positive impact on people and the planet. Urban Mines (56 million tons of unused smartphones, PCs, tablets, appliances) represent a remarkable environmental and social problem (82% of E-waste is not documented generating 50 Ton of mercury annually) but at the same time an opportunity for the fashion and jewellery industry: the possibility to use an alternative and sustainable source of gold, silver, and palladium. Consumer, Gen-Z in particular, are indeed changing the way of doing business. They are looking for sustainable products and expect brands to do their part in protecting the planet and securing safe, healthy, and equitable working conditions. iZ Precious® wants to support jewellery, watches, and fashion accessories brands in offering products that meet the expectation of a new consumer. By working closely with its Members (collectors, recyclers, recovery plants) and by tracking precious metals from their e-waste status to their recovery, iZ Precious® develops social initiatives local communities can benefit from and invests in compensation projects to mitigate CO2 negative impact.
