Iziko Stoves

Iziko Stoves is a social enterprise that develops and up-skills substance abusers(drug addicts) using environmentally friendly stoves, braai stands and the power of entrepreneurship as the catalyst. The substance abusers targeted are individuals in state owned drug treatment centres. For 6 weeks (5 days a week, 1 hour per group) willing substance abusers are trained and assisted on: • Starting their own small businesses. • Being Job ready • Registering at a learning institution After their stay at the rehab, willing participants would sell the Iziko Stoves, which we produce at the rehabs as a way to fund the businesses they said they wanted to start, some want to go back to school, some want to find employment, the commission received from selling the stoves can be used for such, It all depends on the personal development plan of the individual.
