J. A. Carabillo

Legal consulting, operational management corporate legal departments, litigation strategies and cost management, e-discovery, insurance product and regulatory representation for insurance and financial services. Mr. Carabillo provides personal service to clients. He has served Georgetown University Law center for 20 years as adjunct professor of Insurance Law. His background includes a B.A.from William Paterson College; his J.D. is from Seton Hall University; and he earned his LL.M. from New York University. Joe Carabillo served as vice president and chief legal officer of ULLICO Inc, a financial and insurance services holding company until 2003. Before joining ULLICO he served as Assistant General Counsel for Prudential. Professor Carabillo currently serves on the ABA’s Federal Involvement in Insurance Modernization Task Force, and acts as a consultant and expert witness. He served as chair of the ABA Health Insurance Law Committee from 1991-92 and as chair of the National Association of Insurance Commissions State and Federal Health Policy Industry Advisory Committee from 1988-90. He is a former member of the Health Insurance Association of America's Federal Programs Committee, Legal Subcommittee, a former member of the American Council of Life Insurance's Legislative Committee, Mr. Carabillo teaches at various practicing law institutes and ABA seminars.
