J Roberson and Sons was established in 1981 when the company began thinning and clear felling in Brechfa Forest. Firewood sales have always been an important part of the business. Today the small family business still concentrates on selling well seasoned firewood which is all sourced locally from sustainably managed woodlands. We do not use a kiln to dry timber artificially but organise well seasoned dry logs through careful advance planning and storing to dry naturally - initially outside and then under canvas and finally in a shed.
