Jail Tutorial Project
The Johns Hopkins Jail Tutorial Project provides tutoring in GED and other science and writing material to incarcerated men and women, as well as juveniles, at various local jails and prisons. Tutors also have the opportunity to build relationships and introduce their own ideas into the curriculum. The tutees in the Baltimore City Detention Center system are generally not given many opportunities to improve their level of education, and the Jail Tutorial Project helps in this aim. Please do not hesitate to contact us (jailtutorial@gmail.com) if you are interested in joining and/or want to learn more about the organization.
