BORN OF ANCIENT WISDOM Over 400 years before the first fragrances were created in the West, Arabia was known as ‘the land of perfumes’. Natural oils derived from the petals of precious flowers and sacred plants were blended to create the purest of perfumes, known as Attars. Celebrated as a treasured material possession and gifted by Kings, Attars were regarded as important as gold, silver and precious stones. A LIFETIME IN THE MAKING The ancient art of Attar has been passed down through generations of the Jamal family. As a small boy, founder Jamal would assist his father, hand-filling intricate bottles with his secret and unique blends. A love and fascination with scent led Jamal on a journey that would take him to some of the world’s most prestigious perfume houses, where he refined his art. The time had come.
