Janpahal

Janpahal is a Delhi based not for profit organisation with pan India operation in the 34 cities in 13 states of India. Janpahal has been working since long with the distribution services sector workers with the perspective of livelihoods, social security, rights and dignity. Janpahal played a key role in the last two decades by contributing significantly to the debates around restructuring the distribution sector in India. Stakeholders that are engaged in strengthening the retail democracy of India include small producers; middle, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), small and independent traders, street vendors, consumer groups, environment groups, civil society organizations and community-based organisations. Securing best for all workers in the local informal economy and platform economy in the national and global context is the vision of Janpahal that defines its engagements.
