Japan Open Chain is a public blockchain (Layer 1) that is fully compatible with Ethereum and operated by Japanese enterprises, with a strong emphasis on practicality. In collaboration with leading corporations and web3 businesses, it aims to establish a secure, fast, and cost-effective blockchain infrastructure accessible to users worldwide. Additionally, the project seeks to drive a global digital financial revolution by building the financial infrastructure of the future. This includes initiatives such as stablecoin projects led by banks and the digitization of assets through NFTs. Currently, 15 validator companies (blockchain operating partners) are participating in the network, ensuring a decentralized management structure. These include Corgear Co, Ltd.(a Sony Group startup), Dentsu Inc, G.U. Technologies Inc, insprout Inc, Kudasai Inc, Minna Bank, Ltd, pixiv Inc, TIS Inc, extra mile Co, Ltd.(a TV Asahi Group company), Kyoto University of the Arts, Hatena Co, Ltd, CAC Corporation, Cyberlinks Co, Ltd, SBINFT Co, Ltd, and Nethermind. The network is set to expand to a total of 21 companies.
