JDV Solutions (JDV) is a spinoff of Interact-TV Inc. and has over 20 years of experience designing storage solutions for the media & entertainment markets in both business‑to-business and consumer arenas. We've used Linux for both storage‑based solutions as well as consumer storage solutions. As Interact-TV, we developed a Home Entertainment Server in helping larger consumer companies such as HP deliver products like the DEC (Digital Entertainment Center). We have 14 years of experience of leveraging Linux technologies and storage for both the consumer and professional enterprise markets. Over the last six years, JDV has designed numerous archival storage products using LTO (Linear Tape Optical) technology. LTFS (Linear Tape File System) has become a common standard for archiving content onto LTO tape. LTFS makes a tape cartridge behave like a file system — but with certain constraints. We have the experience to leverage LTFS in designing archive and retrieval systems and have a foundation in real-world application of LTFS.
