Vision: To create a society where women men and children enjoy a life of dignity without biases of sex age caste class colour gender or sexual orientation. Mission: To provide opportunities to people facing inequality and injustice and strengthen communities to bring about a positive change in their lives so that they can become self sufficient and move towards an equal and just society. We work in the areas of health education child rights gender equality and social equality. The beginning. Jeevan Ashram Sanstha (JAS) was founded in 26 November 2009 by a group of young people who felt a deep social concern towards the disadvantaged. Our focus is education and awareness community mobilisation and collective action to bring about social change. Ours is a secular non profitand voluntary organisation supported by small donations from friends and relatives. Jeevan Ashram Sanstha is comprised of young and enthusiastic volunteers who devote time and energy to work towards the goal of the organisation. Our registration: The Societies Regulation Act 1980
