As an architectural illustrator for over 25 years Jeff knows the difference between painting for a client and painting from the heart. To become a true fine artist Jeff feels you must paint from the heart in order to achieve the level of becoming a fine artist. “ I feel that if you can’t paint from the hear the you won’t be able to fully express the visual message you want to.”, says Jeff. Now living in the Low country of Georgia he has acquired a new passion for painting scenes of Savannah's Historic District and the surrounding marsh land. Outside of your typical High School and local community college art courses Jeff has never had any formal training in 'fine art' that one might think when you look at his work. Raw talent, many hours, and a strong drive to keep improving his techniques have guided Jeff to the artist he is today. His thirst for architecture and landscapes has always been at the forefront of his realistic art. As he grew, so did his talent. In High School he painted Vermont Barn scenes and drew most anything he could find that inspired him to capture the realism that most of us take for granted. There is no doubt that architecture and landscapes executed in a realistic format are the essence of Jeff’s art.
