Jemi Music

JEMI received his Master of Music in Sound Recording (Tonmeister) Degree at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University. JEMI was trained professionally by Grammy Award Engineers such as Professor George Massenburg, Professor Steven Epstein and Jeff Wolpert. In the Classical and Surround Recording Area, JEMI was trained by Professor Martha DeFrancisco, who is a Classical Record Producer of the International World Class Orchestra and of Classical Artists as well as by Professor Wieslaw Woszczyk, the founder of McGill Sound Recording and a Former President of the Audio Engineering Society. In the Audio for Post Production world, JEMI was taught by Geoff Mitchell, the Chief Engineer of the National Film Board of Canada and by Michel Forbes, the Video Specialist at Algolith. JEMI did the music mixing on the Hong Kong movie entitled "NIGHT and FOG" that was screened at the 33rd Hong Kong International Film Festival in Hong Kong. He also worked as the Recording Engineer on a Video Game that has been released in South Korea. He worked as the Mastering Engineer on an EOS Video Game that will be released in Spain. In the Live Sound Reinforcement Area, JEMI worked as the Live Sound and Live Concert Recording Engineer for McGill University. JEMI was a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in 2006 with a dual major in Music Production and Engineering and Piano Performance as well as a minor in Contemporary Writing and Production. One of his productions was selected for inclusion on the 2007 Berklee Studio Production Project CD. His recording was awarded a 3rd prize in the Jazz Category in the Student Recording Competition at the 123rd Audio Engineering Society's Meeting in New York City.
