Jens Laugesen

Jens Laugesen is a Danish London-based Fashion Designer and Consultant with 25 years of international experience working both in Paris and London as a Designer, Creative Director and Strategic Advisor for international Luxury Brands and CEO of Fashion Textile Groups on their creative expansion strategies. His unique dual creative profile results from the accumulation of two Master's Degrees from Central Saint Martins in London and Institut Français de la Mode in Paris that combines a strong conceptual edge with a true understanding of the Luxury Market mechanisms and creative marketing methods. Current and past client collaborations include Net-a-Porter, Daphne Guinness, Calvin Klein, J Mendel, LF Fashion Corp, Linda Farrow, Swarovski and Topshop An acclaimed MA graduation collection from Central Saint Martins allowed him to launch the eponymous brand in London Fashion Week and led him to win many prestigious awards, including New Gen and Fashion Forward in London and ANDAM Fashion award in Paris. The conceptual designs are today part of the permanent collection of V&A in London, UCAD Musée De La Mode In Paris, Danish Design Centre In Copenhagen, and FIT Fashion Institute Of Technology In New York. Jens is also an experienced Design Educator and Mentor, having mentored students on the MA at Central Saint Martin’s alongside professor Louise Wilson and has, as design course leader, been instrumental in starting the 4th year MA at Chambre Syndicale de la Couture. During the pandemic, he has as Creative Director, co-created and launched the GUCCI X ARTSTHREAD Global Design Graduate Show whilst also working on the advisory board for GWAND Sustainable Fashion Award. Since 2018 he has been awarded the Danish Arts Foundation’s bursary every year, allowing him to re-launch the eponymous brand for image with new glitch film collaboration and concept capsule collections showcased in Paris, London and Copenhagen Fashion Weeks featured in i-D/VICE, VOGUE, SHOWstudio
