Jerry X Shea.com, my business name for books and speaking engaements, is under my California corporation, Icon Holdings, Inc. which I am President. Icon Holding, Inc. has been the coproration for all my small businesses since 1992. I and have owned six different types of small businesses. Two as part time while I was a cardiac technician (1965-1981) and four as a full time job. The last time I received a pay check for "showing up for work at some other company" was in 1981. From a sales jobs to being the owner of my own businesses if I could not create a sale, then there was no pay. My first book; IT LOOKS EASY! IS IT? Simple Steps for Small Business Success came out in 2001 and helped kick off my speaking career. In January of 2011 my second book PROSPECTING - PRESENTATION - CLOSE, Your Three Keys to Successful Sales will be published because of the large demand for a book from the folks that attended my workshop of the same name. When I speak about small business it is from the heart and real life business experiences. No "classroom business models." Real people, real experience, real small business situations.
