About Jiyoun Kim Studio™ Jiyoun Kim Studio started as a personal project at 2009 and has been made into a company in June 2018 with a few young and talented designers. Its work is based on Kim’s own method Communication Centric Contextual Design, which means that an object must have contextual value based on society’s consensus. Rather than recruiting a large team which can handle various projects fast and simultaneously, Jiyoun Kim Studio chose to arrange a small team to work closely and intensively. Every team member co-operates with Jiyoun Kim, handling wide category of works including product design, furniture design, brand development, installation design and more, from sketch through mass production process.
