Jobit improves the lives of families and cleaners by helping them connect in a reliable and easy way. It offers solutions to help families make informed decisions in finding quality cleaners for their home. In providing families a comprehensive marketplace for cleaning, it is building the largest destination for quality cleaners to find fulfilling employment and career opportunities in Argentina. Belen Richards Donnelly started working on the project in 2016, while she was attending Naves Entrepreneurship Program at IAE Business School in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This project was developed with the purpose to make a positive social impact on society. Improving livelihoods is not just about creating jobs; fundamentally, it is also about creating opportunities for dignified work. The objective: provide access to better employment opportunities – regardless of people’s literacy level, income level, or computer skills. Actually the project includes a large database of cleaners with recommendations. Headquartered in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with a team of volunteers who are all driven and passionate about the organization’s vision. This start up was selected as a semifinalist for the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) in 2016 among social startups from Latin America.
