John Butler Design provides a full range of marine consultancy services. With a strong local knowledge of the Australian maritime industry, John Butler Design is ideally positioned to providing quality, cost effective and innovative marine consultancy services to the commercial marine industry and the Australian Defence industry through CASG. We work closely with vessel owners and operators, ship managers, shipyards and ship repairers, and have experience working with government departments and agencies. John Butler Design provides a broad range of services, from marine transport feasibility studies through to final ship design packages, construction supervision, production engineering support and liaison with Classification Societies. The Naval Architecture and Mechanical Design consultancy services includes condition assessments, structural analysis (FEA), detail 3D/2D design, sea keeping & stability analysis, shock analysis, along with preparation of specification and technical documentation. John and his team are dedicated to maintaining high quality services to the marine industry. John Butler Design has access to the design experience and resources of contractors with a range of skills and experience, all supervised by John Butler. Between us, we have extensive skills in the areas of domestic commercial workboats and barges, cruise ships, naval vessels, luxury yachts and high speed catamarans. John Butler Design office is located in Northwestern Sydney, 45 minutes from Captain Cook dock at Garden Island NSW and only 2 hours from the Newcastle ship yards. We can arrange access to defence sites and many private marina's and shipyards to perform ship-checks and condition assessments.
