I am freelance Artworker. I work from home. I have worked in a few studios in West Yorkshire in quite different surroundings, from the small friendly type to what I would call the 'battery fed' type. I prefer the small, friendly studios. From home I have done quite a lot of localisation work - translation of documents, catalogues, flyers, adverts into other language/s - using software such as InDesign, Quark Xpress, Illustrator and MS Word. I have also taken on pure artworking, á la you design it and I'll artwork it. This has been done for a few national companies. Both the aboveI use either Email or FTP (and Skype mores nowadays as you are visible to your client). I have been involved, on the outskirts, of web design. Mainly in re-design (re-facing) and copy input and quality control (is it in the right place and is it English?). I am not a web monkey. Packaging: Whilst working in the Seychelles (government) I had to produce various packaging designs for: snack foods, hotel soaps, local tea, coffee, sauces and marinades.
